The US exports of aluminium scrap stood at 161,000 tonnes in August 2020. That was down 2.42% year-on-year, according to the latest report from the US Geological Survey. On a month-on-month comparison, exports rose by 1.9% from July’s export volume of 158,000 tonnes. The US exported 1.17 million tonnes of aluminium scrap in the first eight months of 2020, from 1.26 million tonnes exported in the first eight months of 2019.
