
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium rose 8,000 tonnes across eight major consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, to come in at 1.251 million tonnes as of Thursday, April 1.
Last week, on March 25, inventories stood at 1.243 million tonnes across China as the stocks lost around 7,000 tonnes week-on-week.

In Hangzhou, primary aluminium inventories grew by 6,000 tonnes to come in at 105,000 tonnes, while the stocks in Wuxi increased by 5,000 tonnes to stand at 464,000 tonnes. Gongyi, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Linyi, the inventories gained only 1,000 tonnes over the week on April 1. In Gongyi and Shanghai, the inventories clocked at 189,000 tonnes and 99,000 tonnes, while that in Tianjin and Linyi amounted to 60,000 tonnes and 14,000 tonnes, respectively.
In Nanhai, however, primary aluminium inventories decreased by 7,000 tonnes to stand at 315,000 tonnes, while the stock s in Chongqing remained restrained at 5,000 tonnes as of April 1, found SMM.
