Hyderabad-based solar energy firm Premier Energies has secured large-scale domestic orders during the third quarter of FY 2026, valued at INR 23.07 billion ( USD 255.84 million). The orders are for the supply of solar cells and modules made of aluminium to a mix of domestic independent power producers and other customers in India.

The orders will be executed over FY2027 and FY2028, offering medium-term revenue stability. Premier Energies expects to gain sustainable revenue through this order, which will directly support its ongoing capacity expansion plans. By September 2026, the company aims to scale up to 10.6 GW of solar cell capacity and 11.1 GW of module capacity, significantly higher than its current operational base of 3.2 GW of solar cells and 5.1 GW of modules.

The company is also constructing an aluminium frame manufacturing plant with an initial capacity of 18,000 tonnes per annum, targeted for commissioning by March 2027. Premier aims to expand this capacity to 36,000 tonnes annually to support its module output.

In November, its joint venture, Premier-Green Aluminium, announced plans to raise INR 600 million (USD 6.7 million) in tranches to fund the facility. Following the issuance of 25,000 equity shares with a face value of INR 10 (USD 0.11) each, amounting to INR 250,000 (USD 2,793.61), to JV partner Nuevosol Energy, Premier Energies will hold an 80 per cent stake in the venture. Nuevosol will retain the remaining 20 per cent.

Premier Energies was awarded USD 19.95 million in contracts to sell and install solar systems in Benin, West Africa, last September. At specific socio-community facilities, such as district police stations, schools, health centres and special border surveillance units, the company will construct 750 rooftop solar systems.

In June, Premier Energies launched a 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell production facility in Hyderabad, Telangana. The TOPCon line boosted the company's solar cell production capacity from 2 GW to 3.2 GW. The commissioning is part of the company's strategy to provide high-efficiency, vertically integrated manufacturing, from ingots and wafers to cells and modules.
