{alcircleadd}The deliveries of the Polestar 5 will start sometime in mid-2026, with an expected new variant of the Polestar 4. In early 2027, the next-generation Polestar 2 will be introduced along with a compact SUV. The Polestar 7 has been planned for launch in 2028. Michael Lohscheller, the Chief Executive Officer of Polestar, informed that these rollouts will mark a major transition in momentum for the firm.
He says, "Following our best sales year ever, we are now launching the largest model offensive in our history, with four premium EVs coming to market within three years. We are targeting the heart of the EV market, where customer demand and profit pools are high. Combined with our continued retail sales network expansion and a growing customer base, we are setting the foundations for profitable growth and operational improvement."

First unveiled in 2025, the Polestar 5 is a four-door grand tourer, taking the centre stage as the brand’s flagship model. Built on a bonded aluminium platform, it has been designed to enhance the EV car manufacturer’s reputation for performance and luxury.
To this, Lohscheller states, "Polestar 5 is our brand halo car, bringing a new level of performance and luxury to the grand-tourer segment. With incredible handling and a lightweight bonded aluminium platform, the four-door GT has already received fantastic reviews, as part of its launch tour across Europe."
The company is set to expand the appeal of its best-selling model with a new variant of the Polestar 4. With over 190 thousand sales worldwide, the Polestar 2 will be replaced in early 2027.

He further adds, "Sweden is famous for its estate cars and its SUVs are world-class. We are combining the space of an estate and the versatility of an SUV with the dynamic performance that is Polestar. Polestar 2 is the foundation of our brand, with over 190,000 cars sold and an enthusiastic community of customers."
The EV manufacturing company is exploring Europe’s biggest EV market with an exciting addition, which is the Polestar 7 compact SUV. This move comes as the firm marks the year to be the best retail sales year in 2025 and is also optimistic about a low double-digit growth for 2026. Additionally, the firm is also planning to expand its retail network by a whopping 30 per cent!
To this, Lohscheller adds, "With Polestar 7, we are entering the largest EV segment in Europe, the compact SUV segment, which accounts for approximately one-third of total BEV volumes in 2025."
