Odisha: 30 lakh’s Aluminum loaded truck has been hijacked

Once again an aluminum wire loaded cargo truck has been hijacked by robbers on Sambalpur –Rourkela Express highway .This type of incidents are happening again & again in this industrial corridor route. This time the materials in the truck was about 30 lakhs .Till now after after Three days the police could not found any clue on this matter. According to information received on last Sunday at midnight in Sambalpur - Rourkela Express Highway robbers hijacked a cargo truck, this truck came out from Vedanta Alumina plant situated at Jharsuguda & was going to Union Territory Daman – Diu’s capital Silvassa & was loaded with Aluminum of cost around 30 lakhs.

When this truck was passing near to Rengali the robbers in a Bolero overtook it & forcefully stopped the truck. After this took control over the truck driver & helper of the truck. Thereafter the robbers took the Aluminum loaded truck to unknown place & have left the truck driver & khalasi to jungle of Budarma nearly about 50 to 60 kms away from the robbery spot. On the next day the truck driver & khalasi was came to Rengali & filed a report relating to this effect at Rengali police station. Police have registered a case & are investigating into the matter, but so far have not found any success in this respect. Police also suspect the associated truck truck driver & khalasi.

These kinds of incidents are happening again & again are reflecting the failure of police. This type of series of incidents are going on Jharsuguda-Sambalpur industrial corridor day by day & the district police is sitting by holding hand in hand, For this reason courage of thieves is growing day by day .
