The name of the winner for the 2025 Sustainability Awards, given by the Business Intelligence Group, was announced on August 26, 2025. The traction of this award highlights the firm's continuous quantifiable impacts that help drive environmental progress, prompting strong business results. Moreover, Novelis 3x30 have enabled aluminium to be the choice of metal with attributable circular solutions which directly align with the firm's agenda of "Shaping a Sustainable World".

With Novelis 3x30, the firm is trying to achieve three primary enterprising objectives, which are aimed to be completed by 2030, which include:

  • Push for higher recycled content by accelerating circularity and incorporating more than 75 per cent of recycled content within its products
  • Achievement in carbon by lowering the emissions from the aluminium flat rolled products (FRP) provider. The emission is capped below 3 tonnes of CO2e per tonne of FRP shipped
  • Spurring the future by continuously leading the industry with driven circularity via first-mover investment

Owing to this, Russ Fordyce, the Chief Recognition Officer of the Business Intelligence Group, commented, "Sustainability has moved from aspiration to expectation. The 2025 Sustainability Awards celebrate those who embed ESG at the core of their operations, turning climate action, circular design, and community impact into real competitive advantage. We're proud to recognise Novelis for showing what's possible when profit and planet share the same roadmap."

At the beginning of this year, Novelis' Uhrichville plant also received recognition for being the first US-based aluminium manufacturer by the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network, designated as "Sustainability Lighthouse". The facility, which employs nearly 400 people, secured this achievement for leading the industry with 97 per cent of recycled content within the 3105 alloy, which is distinctively used in the building and construction sector. By using 97 per cent of recycled content, the energy usage for the primary aluminium production was successfully curtailed.

Francisco Pires, the Senior Vice President and Vision 3x30 Officer, stated, "This recognition validates Novelis' commitment to helping our customers across the automotive, beverage packaging, aerospace and specialities markets simultaneously meet their business and sustainability needs as they incorporate materials with higher recycled content and a lower carbon footprint."

By earning this recognition award, Novelis is honoured for its company vision, products, projects and the individuals for the purpose-driven strategy resulting in surged growth and performance. In order to choose the winner, the judges, who are also various business leaders, have conducted an in-depth evaluation of their performance, measurable outcomes and innovations that contribute heavily to all ESG pillars.
