

Norton Motorcycles has taken a step towards its India plans, with the Manx R’s design now patented, hinting that the flagship supersport could make its way to the market in the future.

The motorcycle is built around an aluminium monocoque frame and gets a single-sided swingarm, pointing to a clear focus on weight optimisation and performance. It uses semi-active Marzocchi suspension and runs on carbon fibre wheels, keeping it firmly in the track-focused space.

The Manx R first broke cover at EICMA 2025, where it was shown alongside the Manx street naked. Its styling follows a sharp, race-derived theme, marked by a dual-LED headlamp setup and a tightly sculpted fairing.
At the heart of the bike sits a 1200cc, liquid-cooled V4 motor, delivering 203.2bhp at 11,500rpm and 130Nm at 9,000rpm, putting it among the more serious performers in its class.
On the equipment front, it features an 8-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Rider aids include three riding modes, two customisable track modes, and a bidirectional quickshifter.
Norton has yet to put a firm timeline on its India entry for the model. However, recent Atlas test sightings suggest the brand may roll out its adventure range first, expected around mid-2026, with the Manx R and the Manx likely to follow towards the end of 2026.
