The newly improved Norton Gemini Grinding and combination/pipeline wheels from Saint-Gobain Abrasives feature a 15 per cent quicker cut-rate and also include a new premium alumina grain. In comparison to goods from earlier generations, advanced bond technology and wheel hardness are optimised for performing quick cuts and offer up to 60 per cent longer life and metal removal per wheel.

The updated wheels deliver a controlled yet aggressive sensation without the fatigue that other competitive high-performance wheels do since they were ergonomically engineered. A reminder of correct machine selection, safe operation, and essential personal protective equipment is also displayed on the new Gemini wheels, which have been upgraded with big, industry-standard iconography that can be read in any language.
“Our Gemini cutting wheels have been the market leader in their class for years, offering premium performance at an economic price point. We are very pleased to offer our customers even higher productivity as the new wheels cut faster and last longer, requiring fewer wheel changes,” said Bradley Povelaites, manager, product and commercial management, Norton as well as Saint-Gobain Abrasives.
The wheels are made for grinding hard-grade carbon steel, 400 series stainless steel, and applications including notching, flashing, and multi-pass welding for pipefitting. It features a bond that has been optimized for grinding at a 30-degree angle and notching at a 90-degree angle.
Saint-Gobain Abrasives, the top manufacturer of abrasives in the world, provides clients with strong, accurate, and user-friendly solutions that allow them to shape and surface-finish all sorts of materials, even in the most difficult applications across a wide variety of markets.
