The final boat in a four-vessel order for Saudi Arabian urban developer Neom has now been delivered by Spanish shipbuilder Moggaro Aluminium Yachts, bringing the project to completion. According to Moggaro, the latest handover took place after a period of uncertainty caused by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region. In a social media update, the company said the vessel had safely reached its destination and was prepared to enter service.
{alcircleadd}The contract covered the manufacturing of four hybrid-powered dive boats, each measuring 16 metres in length. The first of the series entered service in 2025 and is based at Neom’s Sindalah Sports Complex. Neom commissioned the hybrid aluminium-inclusive vessels to support both scuba-diving operations and a range of recreational outings. Alongside operational performance, the brief called for high standards of passenger comfort, build quality and environmental responsibility.
Thus, the boats were designed to serve multiple purposes, allowing them to be used for diving trips as well as excursion activities, while particular attention was paid to accessibility. Features aimed at improving movement around the vessel make it easier for people with reduced mobility to participate in adaptive diving programmes.

The propulsion package combines conventional and electric power. Each vessel is fitted with twin Volvo D11 engines and Hamilton HTX30 water jets, supplemented by two 15kW BlueNav electric outboard motors. The electric units use retractable propellers, reducing resistance in the water when not in operation. Mounted on the transom, they are also easier to install and maintain than many integrated systems. Underway, the boats can cruise comfortably at around 25 knots and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 36 knots.
