Despite the changes and uncertainty of NAFTA being renegotiated as the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), the major manufacturing industries in Mexico are expected to see continual growth. Although many industries are moving their manufacturing to Mexico, the most prominent industries in Mexico are the automotive, aviation and aerospace, medical device, apparel and textile, and consumer products industries.
Mexico’s Aluminium tubes and pipes import during 2017-19 has been recorded with 96,962 tonnes and revenue expenditure reached $518.54 million. The forecasted export for 2020 has been analysed to 30,666 tonnes and expenditure to stand at $154.47 million. When the evaluated export volume and expenditure of 2020 has been assorted with the preceding three years it stands at 127,628 tonnes and $518.54 million respectively.
In 2017, the nation’s export of aluminium tubes and pipes remained at 18,743 tonnes and earnings stood at $102.24 million, while in 2018 the export was exhibited with a rise by 129.68%, as the export volume stood at 43,049 tonnes and expenditures surged to $219.65 million.
Mexico’s export in 2019 has been marked with a downfall by 18.30%, as the export volume dropped to 35,170 tonnes and expenditure also dipped to $196.65 million.
The projected export for 2020 has also been recorded with a dip by 12.80%, as the export volume to fall at 30,666 tonnes and expenditures also to remain down at $154.47 million.
The major trading nations for Mexico’s import of aluminium tube and pipes are Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Rep., China, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, USA, Poland, South Korea, etc.
