The new E-Class Cabriolet features front wings, bonnet and boot lid crafted from the sheet of aluminium. The company claims most of the body structures are made from a mixture of die-cast aluminium and steel. The aluminium hybrid design makes the construction light in weight.

The convertible E-Class sports 3.0L V6 turbo engine and equipped with a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission which offers lower engine speeds.

Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management at Daimler AG with responsibility for Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales, said, "The passion for extraordinary vehicles, which we share with our customers, is reflected in our new E-Class Cabriolet in a unique way. It is a car that lets people enjoy comfort and luxury in the open air."

The E-Class Cabriolet will be available in Australia in the second half of 2017.  Mercedes-Benz has not yet reveals the price of the new E-Class Cabriolet.
