The partnership supports a shared ambition to boost the use of recycled aluminium in producing Meadow’s innovative pre-fill solution the Meadow KAPSUL ™ advancing its mission to create a more circular and sustainable option for the global consumer packaging market. With Novelis now on board, alongside industry leaders like Ball Corporation, DRT Holdings, and C-CARE, Meadow further strengthens its ability to scale production through a resilient and trusted supply chain network.

Meadow KAPSUL™ is a unique packaging technology that repurposes standard aluminium beverage cans into versatile, pre-fill containers. Engineered for circularity, it leverages existing infrastructure and supply chains to minimize environmental impact. Featuring a unique twist-to-open mechanism, MEADOW KAPSUL™ is suitable for a wide range of applications from personal care and beauty products to food items offering a sustainable and scalable solution for modern packaging needs.

Meadow CEO & Co-Founder Victor Ljungberg said, “Working with Novelis marks another exciting milestone for Meadow; as a world leader in aluminium recycling and rolling, Novelis brings not only deep industrial expertise, but the scale and reliability needed to support our continued commercial growth. Crucially, it strengthens the sustainability of our value chain, creating one of the most circular packaging solutions available today, and brings us closer to our end goal of eliminating linear packaging.”

Aluminium is one of the most recyclable materials on the planet an impressive 75 per cent of all aluminium ever produced is still in use today. It can be recycled endlessly without any loss in quality, while using up to 95 per cent less energy than producing primary aluminium. This collaboration highlights Novelis’ and Meadow’s shared commitment to harnessing these circular benefits and bringing them into the consumer-packaged goods market at scale.

Novelis, the world’s largest recycler of aluminium and a leading producer of flat-rolled aluminium products, operates 31 manufacturing facilities across nine countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The company recycles around 2.3 million metric tons of aluminium scrap each year including an impressive 84 billion used beverage cans—cementing its role as a key driver in the global shift toward a circular economy.

As part of their strategic partnership, Meadow and Novelis are set to collaborate on a range of innovation and commercial initiatives. United by a shared commitment to sustainability, the two companies aim to develop solutions that address the global waste crisis and accelerate progress toward a more circular, low-impact packaging future.
