Alupro has categorically mentioned that it will join i2r for the Responsible Packaging Expo to be held in London’s Excel from October 10 to 11. Both entities will join to conduct a seminar that cites aluminium’s sustainability quotient and how its use can be crucial in maintaining a circular economy.

Aluminium is widely used in the packaging industry for its non-corrosive and odourless attributes. Items packed in aluminium containers can retain their original taste for a longer period of time because the non-ferrous metal is not only neutral in taste but also protects the interiors from direct sunlight.
The Alupro and i2r seminar will emphasise these points, ensuring that the company’s aluminium packaging solutions follow the Government protocols for standards and safety. The seminar titled, ‘Sustainability and Innovation in Aluminium Food Packaging’ will begin at 1.15 pm in Keynote Theatre five.

Alupro’s Executive Director, Tom Giddings, reflected: “We’re delighted to be joining i2r at this year’s Responsible Packaging Expo to help showcase the benefits of aluminium as a sustainable packaging material. The event offers the perfect platform to explore the innovations of tomorrow while also discussing impending changes to legislation and policy.”
“When it comes to food packaging, aluminium should be seen as the flexible, versatile, reliable material of choice. Alongside offering superior properties from a product protection and preservation perspective, it can also be infinitely recycled – the perfect closed-loop solution. As brands continue to navigate the ever-changing legislative landscape, we want everyone to know that aluminium is the material of choice for those brands looking to avoid risks and maximise value,” Giddings concluded.
