
LME aluminium opened at US$2,395 per tonne last Friday and closed at US$2,415 per tonne, an increase of US$20 per tonne or 0.84 per cent.

On November 18, Friday LME aluminium cash bid price escalated to US$2368 per tonne after US$26 per tonne or 1.11 per cent was added last week, and the LME aluminium official settlement price soared US$26.50 per tonne or 1.13 per cent to close at US$2,369 per tonne.
The 3-month bid price gained US$29.50 per tonne or 1.24 per cent to settle at US$2399.50 per tonne, and the 3-month offer price shot up US$29 per tonne or 1.22 per cent, resting at US$2,400 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price both levitated by US$28 per tonne or 1.14 per cent, stopping at US$2,473 per tonne and US$2,478 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock plunged by 3,875 tonnes or 0.73 per cent to settle at 524,375 tonnes from 528,250 tonnes recorded the day before on Thursday.
Live warrants totalled 315,850 tonnes, losing 950 tonnes or 0.3 per cent. Cancelled warrants read 208,525 tonnes, with a fall of 2,925 tonnes or 1.38 per cent.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price came in at US$2,400.83 per tonne after shedding US$12.17 per tonne or 0.5 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on November 21, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has gone down by US$35 per tonne or 1.3 per cent, starting the week at US$2,645 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2212 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,160 per tonne at last Friday’s night session and rose to RMB 19,245 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,080 per tonne, up RMB 10 per tonne or 0.05 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2212 aluminium closed up 1.72 per cent or RMB 325 per tonne at RMB 19,200 per tonne, with open interest up 3,269 lots to 182,976 lots.
