LME aluminium opened at US$2,227.5 per tonne on Tuesday, with its low and high at US$2,201 per tonne and US$2,249 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,247 per tonne, up US$19 per tonne or 0.58 per cent.
On Tuesday, July 4, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price went down by US$3 per tonne or 0.14 per cent and US$4.5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent to close at US$2,102 per tonne and US$2,102.50 per tonne.
The 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price, on the other hand, grew by US$9.5 per tonne or 0.44 per cent to halt at US$2,155.50 per tonne and US$2,156.50 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price also went up by US$6 per tonne or 0.25 per cent to close at US$2,318 per tonne and US$2,323 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 544400 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 271925 tonnes and 272475 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price inched down by US$0.02 per tonne to clock at US$2,165.61 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, July 5, the SHFE aluminium price dropped by US$16 per tonne or 0.06 per cent to peg at US$2,525 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2308 aluminium contract opened at RMB 17,975 per tonne overnight and closed at RMB 17,995 per tonne, down RMB 45 per tonne or 0.25 per cent.
