
LME aluminium opened at US$2,698 per tonne on Thursday, November 25, and closed at US$2,715 per tonne, an increase of US$12 per tonne or 0.44 per cent.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price surged by US$41.50 per tonne or 1.54 per cent to stand at US$2,739.50 per tonne and US$2,740.50 per tonne, respectively, as of November 25. That marked the increase in prices for the third day in a row. 3-month bid price increased by US$43.50 per tonne to settle at US$2,734 per tonne, and 3-month offer price climbed by US$44 per tonne to close at US$2,735 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price totalled at US$2,700 per tonne and US$2,705 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock on November 25 stood further lower at 919225 tonnes. Live warrants remained restrained at 573950 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants plunged to 345275 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price grew to US$2,725 per tonne, as of November 25.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
The benchmark aluminium price for SHFE dropped US$8 per tonne on Friday, November 26, following a surge of US$40 per tonne on the previous day. Hence, the price today has closed at US$3,027 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium closed up 1.82 per cent or RMB 350 per tonne to RMB 19,560 per tonne, with open interest up 8351 lots to 216545 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,595 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 19,645 per tonne and RMB 19,265 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,375 per tonne, down by RMB 55 per tonne or 0.28 per cent.
