
LME aluminium price closed the day on Wednesday, November 25, 0.13 per cent higher to US$ 1967 per tonne, following two consecutive days of decline.

Both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price stood at US$ 1967 per tonne, growing by US$ 2.50 per tonne on November 25. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 1981.50 per tonne, climbing by only US$ 0.50 per tonne from US$ 1981 per tonne on November 24. Dec 21 bid price and Dec 21 offer price, however, extended decline by US$ 1 per tonne to come in at US$ 2004 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock continued to fall to stand at 1388250 tonnes on November 25. Live Warrants hovered at 1231200 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants at 157050 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price stood at US$ 1994.12 per tonne, as of Wednesday, November 25.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE dropped by US$ 3 per tonne to US$ 2431 per tonne on Thursday, November 26.
The most-traded SHFE 2012 aluminium contract climbed to its highest in 2020 at RMB 16,110 per tonne in the afternoon trading session before paring some gains to close the day 1.65 per cent higher at RMB 16,060 per tonne, with open interest shrinking 9,631 lots to 109,000 lots. It may rise further in the near term.
