The London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminium market moved higher on July 21, with cash prices, futures contracts and longer-dated contracts all recovering from the previous session.
{alcircleadd}The LME aluminium cash bid price increased from USD 3,155 per tonne on July 20 to USD 3,183 per tonne on July 21, reporting a 0.89 per cent rise. The cash offer price also moved up from USD 3,156 per tonne to USD 3,183.5 per tonne, gaining 0.87 per cent.
The LME aluminium three-month contract recorded gains as well. The bid price rose from USD 3,147 per tonne to USD 3,170 per tonne, while the offer price increased from USD 3,147.5 per tonne to USD 3,170.5 per tonne, with both rising 0.73 per cent.

Longer-dated contracts also traded higher. The December 2027 bid price climbed from USD 3,082 per tonne to USD 3,105 per tonne, while the offer price increased from USD 3,087 per tonne to USD 3,110 per tonne, both up 0.75 per cent.
The LME aluminium three-month Asian Reference Price stood at USD 3,158 per tonne on July 21, compared to USD 3,140 per tonne on July 20, indicating a 0.57 per cent increase.

LME aluminium opening stocks declined to 279,775 tonnes from 280,100 tonnes, reflecting a 0.12 per cent decrease. Live warrants remained unchanged at 245,900 tonnes, while cancelled warrants fell from 33,875 tonnes to 32,375 tonnes, down 4.43 per cent.
Meanwhile, the LME alumina Platts price increased from USD 335.41 per tonne to USD 338.05 per tonne, recording a 0.79 per cent rise.
