Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,845 per tonne last Friday and closed at US$2,820 per tonne, a decrease of US$28 per tonne or 0.98 percent.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price climbed up by US$28.5 per tonneor by 1.01 percent to stand at US$2,846 per tonne, as of Friday, December 24. LME aluminium official settlement price also went up by US$30 per tonne or by 1.06 percent to close at US$2,848 per tonne for the same day. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price for the same day stood at US$2,841 per tonne and US$2,841.50 per tonne, respectively. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price hovered around US$2,797 per tonne and US$2,802 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock registered at 964175 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants for the same day stood at 729150 tonnes and 235025 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price pegged at US$2,831.25 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
On Monday, December 27, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE slipped by US$35 per tonne to total at US$3,124 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium closed down 0.39 percent or RMB 80 per tonne to RMB 20185 per tonne, with open interest down 5560 lots to 227080 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium contract opened at RMB 20,265 per tonne during last Friday’s night session, with the lowest and highest at RMB 19,960 per tonne and RMB 20,275 per tonne before closing at RMB 20,035 per tonne, down RMB 150 per tonne, or 0.74 percent.
