Europe’s integrated aluminium producer ‘ALRO’ accomplishes acquisition of Vimetco Trading
The European integrated aluminium producer in Romania, Alro stated that it has accomplished the acquisition of Vimetco Trading from its majority shareholder Vimetco PLC and its subsidiary, Vimetco Management Romanian, to become its sole owner.
On 24th December 2021, while filing a statement with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, Alro said the deal navigates the company to accomplish the integration of sales activities into the structure of the Alro Group.
The accomplished transaction was assessed at the market value of Vimetco Trading, while it will empower Alro to upgrade its synergies between production and sales of finished products.
Since 2008, Vimetco Trading has played the role of an agent without any representation of Alro in all worldwide markets of aluminium products.
Alro, a subsidiary of Vimetco N.V is one of the biggest vertically integrated aluminium manufacturers in Europe with an installed production capacity of 265,000 tonnes per annum of electrolytic aluminium, 35,000 tonnes per annum of recycled aluminium and 335,000 tonnes per annum primary cast aluminium.
