
LME aluminium opened at US$2240.5 per tonne yesterday, with its high and low at US$2286 per tonne and US$2233 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2282 per tonne, up 1.83 per cent.

On Monday, December 18, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price grew by US$17 per tonne or 0.77 per cent to clock at US$2,212.50 per tonne and US$2,213 per tonne.
As per the London Metal Exchange (LME) data, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price added US$13 per tonne or 0.57 per cent to settle at US$2,261.50 per tonne and US$2,262 per tonne. On the same day, both December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price added US$10 per tonne or 0.42 per cent to halt at US$2,373 per tonne and US$2,378 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 504475 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 270175 tonnes and 234300 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price hiked by US$36.19 per tonne or 1.64 per cent to peg at US$2,242.096 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, December 19, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium price increased by US$3 per tonne or 0.11 per cent to stop at US$2,652 per tonne.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2401 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18950 per tonne, with its low and high at RMB 18885 per tonne and RMB 18980 per tonne before closing at RMB 18925 per tonne, up RMB 15 per tonne or 0.08 per cent.
