LME aluminium opened at US$2,344 per tonne on Monday and closed at US$2,376.5 per tonne, an increase of US$34.5 per tonne or 1.47 per cent.
On Monday, February 27, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price increased by US$8 per tonne or 0.34 per cent and US$7 per tonne or 0.30 per cent to close at US$2,313 and US$2,314 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price moved up by US$3 per tonne or 0.12 per cent and US$4 per tonne or 0.16 per cent to halt at US$2,358 per tonne and US$2,360 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price climbed up by US$2 per tonne or 0.07 per cent to reside at US$2,560 per tonne and US$2,565 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 559375 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants came in at 443675 tonnes and 115700 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price plunged by US$58 per tonne or 2.44 per cent to peg at US$2,334.62 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Tuesday, February 28, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price has ascended by US$16 per tonne or 0.60 per cent to score at US$2,658 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2304 aluminium closed down 1.29 per cent or RMB 240 per tonne at RMB 18,375 per tonne, with open interest up 18,077 lots to 223,244 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2304 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,425 per tonne overnight before closing at RMB 18,535 per tonne, up RMB 160 per tonne or 0.87 per cent.
