The previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,272 per tonne, hit a high of US$2,285 per tonne and a low of US$2,256 per tonne, and closed at US$2,284 per tonne, up US$11 per tonne, or 0.48 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Thursday, August 8, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price moved up by US$2 per tonne or 0.90 per cent to settle at US$2,204 per tonne and US$2,204.50 per tonne.
As per the LME price graph, both 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price went down by US$4per tonne or 0.17 per cent and US$3 per tonne or 0.13 per cent to clock at US$2,258 per tonne and US$2,260 per tonne.
December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price dipped by US$5 per tonne or 0.20 per cent to dock at US$2,413 per tonne and US$2,418 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 910950 tonnes.
Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 355725 tonnes and 555225 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price moved down by US$3.98 per tonne or 0.17 per cent to clock at US$2,276.56 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Friday, August 9, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price added US$3 per tonne to halt at US$2,633 per tonne. The most-traded SHFE aluminium 2409 contract opened at RMB 18,900 per tonne overnight, reaching a high of RMB 19,080 per tonne and a low of RMB 18,900 per tonne, and closed at RMB 19,050 per tonne, up RMB 105 per tonne, or 0.55 per cent.
