LME aluminium benchmark price expands by US$30/t; SHFE price dips to US$2,546/t

On Thursday, July 20, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$29.5 per tonne or 1.37 per cent and US$30 per tonne or 1.40 per cent to settle at US$2,171 per tonne and US$2,172 per tonne.

3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also expanded by US$33.5 per tonne or 1.53 per cent to peg at US$2,219.50 per tonne and US$2,220 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price gained US$33 per tonne or 1.40 per cent to halt at US$2,383 per tonne and US$2,388 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock came in at 513100 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants 277675 tonnes and 235425 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price also grew by US$7.88 per tonne or 0.35 per cent to halt at US$2,203.77 per tonne.

SHFE aluminium price

On Friday, July 21, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium price has dipped by US$5 per tonne or 0.19 per cent to reside at US$2,546 per tonne. W-o-W the SHFE price declined by US$65 per tonne from US$2,611 per tonne recorded on July 14.
