Landsvirkjun's results for the first six months of the year 2011

Landsvirkjun's operating revenue amounted to USD 217.9 million, which is an increase of 20.3% compared to the same period last year.
Profit after tax amounted to USD 23.4 million, compared to USD 15.7 million for the same period last year.
Hordur Arnarson, the CEO: „The improvement in the operating results during the first six months of the year is satisfactory, and is mainly explained by increased income due to renegotiations on energy prices and increasing aluminium prices. At the same time, there has been little increase in operating expenses between periods.
