Kobe Steel to build auto aluminum plate project in Tianjin

The Tianjin Xiqing Economic Development Zone and Kobe Steel, Ltd. signed an automotive aluminum plate project on December 25.
Covering 100 mu, the Phase I of the project has a registered capital of CNY 454 million and an investment of CNY 1.36 billion; it will mainly produce high-performance auto aluminum plates, engine hoods, trunk lids, etc.
The project is scheduled to come under construction in April 2014, to be completed in January 2015 and to come into production in January 2016; output capacity will be 100,000 tons. The project is predicted to make CNY 3 billion to CNY 4 billion sales value after reaching full operation.
