Rusal, one of the world’s leading aluminium companies by primary aluminium production, announced that on June 15, it started the construction of a modern alumina facility in the Leningrad region. According to a report on Monday, June 12, Rio Tinto will expand its state-of-the-art AP60 aluminium smelter at Complexe Jonquière in Canada with an investment of $1.1 billion (CAN$1.4 billion).
