Impact Minerals Limited has raised approximately AUD 2.2 million (USD 1.56 million) before costs through a renounceable rights issue, providing additional funding to advance its two high-purity alumina projects in Australia.

The company issued nearly 69 million new shares and approximately 46 million options under the capital raising, which was launched in August. Impact Minerals said the offer received strong participation from existing shareholders, including full take-up by its major German family office investor.

Any remaining shortfall shares may be placed within three months, subject to the allocation policy outlined in the offer.

Funding targets pilot and customer qualification work

The fresh capital will support development of Impact Minerals’ Lake Hope and Alluminous high-purity alumina strategies.

Chair Jim McKerlie said the fundraising comes at an important stage for the company, with piloting of the Lake Hope processing route already underway and commissioning of the Alluminous pilot plant continuing.

The company plans to use the funds to demonstrate both technologies at scale and produce high-purity alumina material for customer qualification.

This work is aimed at moving the projects toward key commercial milestones as Impact Minerals develops its position in the high-purity alumina market.

Two pathways for high-purity alumina

Impact Minerals is pursuing two complementary development routes.

The Alluminous project is designed around a capital-efficient, modular pathway to market, while Lake Hope is focused on potential long-life, low-cost high-purity alumina production from the company’s own mineral resource.

The company said the two projects provide complementary approaches to developing its high-purity alumina business.

With the latest capital raise completed, Impact Minerals can now continue pilot-scale development and work toward producing material that can undergo customer qualification.
