Hindalco Industries Limited continued to reduce its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices on Friday, November 19, in line with the LME aluminium benchmark price fall. Hindalco Industries Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month future of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which on November 18 decreased by US$20.50 per tonne to US$2,607.50 per tonne. That brought the price month-on-month lower by US$572.50 per tonne than US$3,180 per tonne.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
