Aluminium plays a crucial role in Orion’s build, offering a high strength-to-weight ratio that enhances performance without compromising durability. This ensures lower fuel consumption and a smaller carbon footprint, making it an attractive choice for eco-conscious yacht owners. The material's natural corrosion resistance also adds to the vessel’s longevity, requiring less maintenance than traditional steel hulls.

Beyond performance, with sustainability a key focus, Orion features energy-efficient systems and a reduced-emission propulsion setup, aligned with the industry’s push towards greener solutions. The combination of lightweight construction and modern engineering minimises environmental impact, setting a benchmark for future superyachts.

"This yacht represents the future of luxury cruising, combining performance with eco-conscious design," said a Heesen spokesperson.

Inside, the yacht is designed to match its cutting-edge exterior. Spacious decks, panoramic windows and high-end interiors ensure a luxurious experience for guests. Heesen has blended innovation with elegance, making Orion a statement of both style and sustainability.

Ruud van der Stroom, Heesen’s CCO, commented: "We greatly appreciated the smooth and efficient sales process, as well as the collaboration with Anton Foord. From the initial discussions in January to the client’s recent visit to the shipyard, it has been a rewarding journey. Now, we eagerly anticipate the yacht’s delivery in mid-May.”

With its sale now confirmed, all eyes are on Orion’s upcoming launch, proving that sustainability and speed can go hand in hand on the high seas.
