The Ranshofn aluminium producer Hammerer Aluminum Industries (HAI) is implementing its green electricity strategy steadily. In addition to a photovoltaic system, new e-charging stations are now part of the sustainability offensive.

The photovoltaic system on the company's roofs is 6,300 square meters in size, making it one of the largest self-consumption PV systems in Austria.
As a result, HAI already saves around 500 tonnes of CO₂ per year and with this amount one could supply around 320 single-family houses with electricity annually.

There are now eleven new e-charging stations on the factory premises in Ranshofen. These can be used for company vehicles or by visitors with e-cars. There are also four electric cars in use in the vehicle pool. Two of them are models of the Mercedes EQC, the first electric SUV from Mercedes Benz.
HAI supplies this car manufacturer with lightweight aluminium components for battery boxes, which, according to the company, are characterized by good crash properties, heat resistance and a specific heat conduction profile.
