Globeflex Capital takes new stake in Kaiser Aluminum

Globeflex Capital L P has acquired a new position in Kaiser Aluminum Corporation, buying 8,903 shares valued at about USD 1.74 million, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The investment gave Globeflex an approximately 0.05 per cent stake in the US aluminium producer at the end of the reporting period.
Institutional interest follows strong quarter
The new Kaiser Aluminum investment comes after the company reported record second-quarter financial results. Kaiser Aluminum posted revenue of USD 1.26 billion and earnings per share of USD 5.53, exceeding analysts’ consensus expectations for both measures.
Kaiser Aluminum produces semi-fabricated aluminium products for industrial markets, including aerospace, automotive and packaging applications. Its recent quarterly performance was supported by higher sales and improved profitability.

Other funds also added positions
Globeflex was among several institutional investors that disclosed new or expanded Kaiser Aluminum holdings in recent filings.
Fisher Asset Management increased its holding during the fourth quarter, while Hillsdale Investment Management, Harvest Investment Advisors, Louisiana State Employees Retirement System and Jennison Associates also reported new positions during recent quarters, according to regulatory filings cited in the disclosure.
Institutional investors collectively own about 99 per cent of Kaiser Aluminum shares, making changes in fund holdings closely watched by investors.
Kaiser Aluminum stock in focus
Kaiser Aluminum shares were trading near USD 152.50 on Tuesday. The company’s stock has moved through a wide range over the past year, reflecting shifting expectations for aluminium markets, industrial demand and company earnings.
The latest filing shows that Globeflex Capital has added Kaiser Aluminum to its portfolio following the company’s stronger second-quarter results. It does not, by itself, indicate Globeflex’s future investment plans or view on the stock’s price.
