
Germany's economy slumped by 2.2% in the first three months of this year as the COVID-19 pandemic pushed it into recession. It was the biggest quarterly fall since 2009 when the country was engulfed in the global financial crisis.

The Western European nation’s export of aluminium containers during 2018-19 has been recorded at 4329 tonnes and the revenue generated on the export during the phase stood at $32.15 million. The export for 2020 is expected to reach at 3025 tonnes, with earnings to stand at $20.22 million. Now, when the export volume and earnings of 2020 get added with the existing two years, it denotes 7354 tonnes and $52.37 million respectively.
In 2018, Germany’s export of aluminium container remained at 2007 tonnes and earnings stood at $17.07 million, whereas, in 2019 the import volume reveals growth by 15.69%, as the import volume rose to 2322 tonnes, while earnings dropped at $15.08 million.
The export for 2020 has been analysed with growth by 30.27%, as the export volume is expected to reach at 3025 tonnes, with Y-o-Y excess volume of 703 tonnes and earning to grow and stand at $20.22 million.
Germany’s major trading nations for export of aluminium containers are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Rep., Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Hungary, India, Kuwait, Poland, etc.
