Gansu Guangyin Company of Guangxi Aluminum Group has successfully conducted a trial production of sacrificial anode aluminum rods and specialised aluminum rods and tubes. The objective is to promote the research and development of industrial aluminium rod and profile product technology, and further explore the industrial aluminium market.
Sacrificial anode is a kind of conductive material that allows electrons to flow freely and fluidly from one point to another if they are connected to a power source. Sacrificial anode is usually made of low-potential metal such as magnesium alloy, aluminium alloy, and zinc alloy.
The usage of sacrificial anode is common in ships and oil and gas engineering facilities. The advantage is it requires less investment and less stray current interference. In addition, it is easy to install, maintenance-free, and has high electrode protection efficiency and no over-protection.
