Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident and said firefighters responded after receiving a distress call.
According to him, the fire appears to have started from an electrical spark linked to an appliance that had been left plugged in. The spark reportedly ignited nearby combustible materials, allowing the fire to spread through the affected section of the building.
