
People use aluminium foil at home for food storage, to cover baking surfaces and to wrap foods, to avert them from losing moisture while cooking and it is also used to wrap and protect delicate food items. The foil reflects the thermal energy back to the food maintaining the inherent aroma, moisture, and flavour of the food.

The most expensive country in the eurozone, Finland imported 21,867 tonnes of aluminium foil during 2019-20, which accounted expenditure of $61.37 million from the import.
In 2019, Finland, the ‘Happiest Country in the World’ imported 11,095 tonnes of aluminium foil, incurring an expenditure of $31.45 million, whereas, in 2020, the foil import showcased a downfall by 2.91%, as the import volume declined to 10,772 and expenditure counted to $29.92 million.

The import for 2021 is evaluated with a turnaround growth of 2.52%, as the import volume is estimated to surge and remain at 11,044 tonnes, while expenditure tends to dip at $28.77 million.
The major trading destinations for Finland’s import of aluminium foil are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, etc.
