The duties will range from 30.4 to 48.0% and will apply from Wednesday. The EU will apply the tariffs until the investigation’s expected completion by April.

Guangdong Haomei New Materials Co Ltd 002988.SZ and Guangdong King Metal Light Alloy Technology Co Ltd will see charge of 30.4% each. The tariff will be of 38.2% for Press Metal International Ltd.

Other “cooperating” companies will see duties of 34.9% and material from all other companies will see tariffs of 48%.

In February, the European Commission started an investigation into the product widely used in transport, construction and electronics following a complaint from industry body European Aluminium.
