This week, the end user sector witnessed some significant events. Eco-friendly packaging or the use of aluminium has eventually increased. Companies like Turncoat Gin and CCU are moving towards the green metal for their products. Not only this, even designers are using aluminium as a dress material. Below is a list of some top end-user news from the aluminium sector:

Liverpool-based Turncoat gin distillery embraces sustainability

Liverpool's very own Turncoat gin distillery took a bold step towards sustainability by adopting aluminium bottles. This eco-friendly initiative is poised to make a substantial dent in the distillery's carbon footprint, with each bottle transition estimated to slash around 0.4kg of CO2 emissions. Turncoat Gin's choice of reusable aluminium bottles over traditional glass demonstrates a proactive stance towards sustainability. With a longer lifespan and lighter weight, these aluminium vessels play a vital role in curbing emissions across their entire lifecycle.

Widely distributed at CCU-catered events, these cans took centre stage during the May 2024 commencement exercises, adorning both graduate and faculty chairs.
