DWK Life Sciences has successfully acquired the US-based packaging solutions maker Assem-Pak | Aluseal, located in Vineland, New Jersey. The company has not publicised the acquisition amount.
Assem-Pak manufactures premium quality rubber stoppers and aluminium seals for clients in the pharmaceutical sector and life-science organisations.
The firm also provides state-of-the-art facilities like cleaning, washing, assembling and kitting of primary packaging materials.
The CEO (North America) at DWK Life Sciences, Jeff Schempp, explained: “The combination of Assem-Pak’s manufacturing capabilities in rubber stoppers and aluminium seals combined with DWK’s global market access makes this a perfect fit for both companies.
“We’re happy to have a great team join the DWK Group to help us achieve our objectives for years to come,” he added.
After this like-minded acquisition, DWK can spread its wings more efficiently, supplying customisable packaging solutions to the medical industry.
Assem-Pak’s acquisition was quintessential for DWK as it will augment the latter’s supply chain by offering integrated solutions. The expertise of the former will be utilised in every step to propagate a simplified supply chain modified to serve the pharmaceutical sector with ease.
On a different note, DWK was found expanding its production ability for glass vials via current investments in the Rockwood plant, USA and Holzminden plant, Germany.
The CEO of DWK Life Sciences, Armin Reiche blurted out: “Assem-Pak’s combination of manufacturing expertise and service offerings is a great addition to our already extensive global production and service footprint.”
“This acquisition will allow DWK to capitalise on increasing demand for custom solutions to meet the complex needs of the life science industry,” Reiche concluded.
DWK specialises in making lab ware and primary packaging solutions for users in applied sciences and diagnostics, life science research, and the medical industry.
