The global aluminium industry’s downstream segment is regaining its earlier form gradually, as the week observed Fehrmann Tech Group on-boarded 3D printing intellects to support its further expansion, The Austrian metal company AMAG revealed high in its earnings for FY2021 shouldering on aluminium shipments above the pre-crisis level. Wheels India Group is eying to raise its export contribution to one-third of sales especially targeting aluminium wheels.

The aluminium billet inventories in China decreased by 2,900 tonnes or 1.08% week-on-week across five major consumption areas. As a result, the inventories closed at 264,000 tonnes, as of Thursday, February 17.

Hindalco’s aluminium products prices rebounded on Tuesday, February 15, in line with the LME aluminium benchmark price hike on the previous day. Hindalco Industries Limited increased its aluminium wire rod price by INR 9,500 per tonne from INR 287,100 per tonne on February 12 to INR 296,600 per tonne on February 15.

The ASI Chain of Custody Standard had been accredited at both of Hydro Extrusion Italy's aluminium production factories in Feltre and Ornago. Each location has also been recertified following ASI's Performance Standard.

On Thursday, February 17, AMAG Austria Metall AG announced its FY2021 financial results, reporting record earnings and growth in revenue due to stable production, high productivity, and an attractive market environment in the primary aluminium sector. Revenue in the entire year stood at EUR 1,259.4 million compared to EUR 904.2 million in FY2020, owing to increased shipment volumes and higher aluminium prices.

On 14th February 2022, the American industrial aluminium company, Novelis Inc., which is also recognised as the world leader in aluminium rolling and recycling inked a long-term collaboration agreement with HES-SO Valais-Wallis in collaboration with EPFL of Energypolis Campus, a Swiss innovation and research hub, as well as energy distributor OIKEN, to commence a joint research and development (R&D) laboratory to progress carbon-neutral solutions for aluminium production.
Assan Aluminyum has achieved the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative's Performance Standard Certification after a successful on-site audit. The Performance Standard Certification has certified Assan Aluminyum’s Tuzla and Dilovasi flat-rolled production and recycling facilities for conforming to global sustainability standards.
On Friday, February 11, Mestron Holdings Bhd (MHB) signed a share sale and purchase agreement (SSPA) with Chua Nyok Chong (CNC) and Chua Boon Hong (CBH) for RM6 million to purchase 806,000 ordinary shares or 10% of Winstar Aluminium Manufacturing Sdn Bhd's share capital.

On Friday, February 11, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that it certified BORBET Group against the Performance Standard Certification for the manufacture of aluminium alloy wheels at facilities including Medebach (Germany), Ranshofen (Austria), Solingen (Germany), Bad Langensalza (Germany), Port Elizabeth (South Africa) and Kodersdorf (Germany) as well as Corporate Headquarters at Hesborn, Germany.
On 16th February 2022, at the supervisory board meeting of AMAG Austria Metall AG, a resolution has been passed to implement an early extension of the contracts of Chief Executive Officer Gerald Mayer and Chief Operating Officer Dr Helmut Kaufmann.
