This week, the downstream aluminium sector has not seen much upheaval, but whatever progress happened can be considered extremely serious. Ball Corporation’s subsidiary, Ball Aerospace, was found delivering precisely engineered aluminium components to NASA for its Lunar Compact InfraRed Imaging System, L-CIRiS. Chinese firm Ningbo Xusheng Group made a $276 million investment to construct five new subsidiaries in the US, Mexico and Hong Kong to enhance the production of high-precision aluminium alloy components for vehicles. Due to increased activity in the recycled and sustainability segment, the downstream aluminium sector has been lying dormant for the past few weeks, but it is being estimated to bloom with the rising market demand.
