A report shows that Rusal, a leading global aluminium producer, is mastering the production of aluminium cast pipes together with Lipetsk Pipe Company Svobodny Sokol. The quality of pipes is comparable to products made from conventional materials.
The casting technology which Rusal uses makes it possible to produce pipes of up to 1 metre diameter and a length of up to 6 metres for the needs of housing and utility services, oil and gas production, as well as fire extinguishing. The weight of these aluminium pipes is three times lesser than cast iron analogues, owing to which, they are easy and cost-effective to transport and install, even in difficult areas.
