Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB), an agency under the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, US, had initiated "Love the Boot Week" from April 5 to 13, 2025, for the annual litter removal and beautification. For this initiative to succeed, Coca-Cola partnered with KLB to recycle aluminium cans and plastic bottles, facilitated by the Osprey Initiative. Owing to this initiative, a total of 16,503 aluminium cans and plastic bottles have been recovered from the landfill, indicating an increase of 23 per cent from the previous year.

A little about Love the Boot Week
This is regarded as one of the largest litter removal and beautification efforts, where the event is held in more than 64 parishes every year in April. The major aim of this event is to engage local & state governments, schools, businesses, individuals and businesses to come together and shower their care for the environment and the community as a whole.
Event goals for 2025

Some of the following parishes where the Osprey Initiative facilitated the recycling cleanup event alongside the support of Coca-Cola include: Ascension, Caddo, DeSoto, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. James. St. Landry, St. Mary, Tangipahoa, Acadia, Bossier, Calcasieu, East Baton Rouge, Grant, Jefferson, Livingston, Ouachita, Rapides, St. Charles, St. John, St. Martin, St. Tammany and Vermilion.
Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser said, “We are grateful to Coca-Cola for continuing to support recycling during Love the Boot Week.” When the recycling loop is completed, cans and bottles stay out of the landfill and can be used to create new products.
