
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 2,000 tonnes this week. The stocks came in at 741,000 tonnes as of Thursday, 19 August 2021.

{alcircleadd}Primary aluminium stocks in Gongyi contributed to the increase, standing at 45,000 tonnes. That was up by 12,000 tonnes from 33,000 tonnes last Thursday. Shanghai and Chongqing stocks hiked by 1,000 tonnes each to stand at 73,000 tonnes and 4,000 tonnes. Nanhai and Tianjin stocks remained unchanged at 200,000 tonnes and 65,000 tonnes as of Thursday, 19 August 2021.
Inventories of primary aluminium in Hangzhou and Linyi stood at 83,000 tonnes and 13,000 tonnes, a decrease of 1,000 tonnes each from last week. The inventories in Wuxi declined due to the lower arrivals. The stocks were 258,000 tonnes on Thursday, 19 August 2021.
