China’s July 20 alumina price grows to RMB2,845/t; A00 aluminium ingot price moves up by RMB10/t

On Thursday, July 20, the Shanghai Metal Market (SMM) notified that the average alumina spot price has ascended by RMB 3 per tonne to close at RMB 2,845 per tonne. On M-o-M calculation, a growth of RMB 31 per tonne was witnessed from RMB 2,814 per tonne recorded on June 20.

As of today, the prices in Shanxi and Guangxi have gone up by RMB 5 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,845 per tonne. On the same day in Shandong and Guizhou, the average alumina spot price experienced the same hike to halt at RMB 2,805 per tonne and RMB 2,830 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has gained RMB 10 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,280 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,260 per tonne and RMB 18,300 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a premium price of RMB 10 to RMB 50 per tonne.

As per the data, the SMM aluminium price has experienced growth in most of the provinces, except in Shenyang, where it has declined by RMB 70 per tonne to close at RMB 18,240 per tonne. The aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 30 per tonne in Foshan to settle at RMB 18,350 per tonne.

On the same day, the prices in Hangzhou and Chongqing have expanded by RMB 20 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,280 per tonne and RMB 18,320 per tonne. The prices in both Gongyi and Wuxi have ascended by RMB 10 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,190 per tonne and RMB 18,270 per tonne. In Linyi, it has gone up by RMB 10 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,280 per tonne. Only in Tianjin the price has shown no change to close at RMB 18,320 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 29 per tonne to reach RMB 18,984 per tonne. As per the data, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shown no change to score at RMB 18,600 per tonne, RMB 18,950 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne.
