China’s export of aluminium wheels up 18% in October; Anhui Meixin starts aluminium foil project

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in September 2018, China's export of aluminium alloy auto wheels grew 18.3 per cent from a year ago to 89,300 tonnes. The value of export rose 18.8 per cent YoY to US$417 million last month. Export prices averaged US$4.67/kg.

China exported 817,000 tonnest of aluminium alloy auto wheels during the first ten months of this year, up 7 per cent from last year. The value of exports increased up 11.6 per cent YoY to US$3,935 million. Export prices averaged $4.82/kg, according to CAAM data
These products were supplied to16c ountries, with the top 40 countries accounting for 97.8 per cent of the overall value of exports during January-September.
In another update from SMM, Anhui Meixin Aluminium started construction of aluminium foil project in Suixi county of Anhui province on November 25.With total investment of RMB1.42 billion, the two-phase project will produce 72,000 tonnes of high-precision aluminium foil per year.
