
The average alumina spot price in China has continued to decline for over two weeks in a row to stand at RMB 2,901 per tonne as of Wednesday, December 15. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price has decreased by RMB 52 per tonne from RMB 2,953 per tonne on December 14.

In Henan, Guizhou, and Guangxi, the alumina spot price has shrunk by RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 2,900 per tonne, RMB 2,950 per tonne, and RMB 2,800 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Shandong and Shanxi has slipped by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 3,000 per tonne and RMB 2,900 per tonne.
Australian alumina FOB price has recorded a drop of US$20 per tonne on December 15 to peg at US$345 per tonne after remaining restrained on December 13 and 14, learned SMM.
A00 aluminium ingot price has increased for the second day in a row by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 19,100 per tonne as of December 15. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,080 per tonne and RMB 19,120 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 40-0 per tonne.

Except for Chongqing, the rise in primary aluminium ingot price today has touched upon all the major Chinese cities. In Linyi, the price has hiked by RMB 70 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,200 per tonne, while the price in Tianjin has gained RMB 40 per tonne to RMB 19,090 per tonne. In Shenyang and Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 30 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,060 per tonne and RMB 19,160 per tonne, and the price in Wuxi has ascended by RMB 25 per tonne to RMB 19,090 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys prices, on the other hand, have recorded no change. While aluminium alloys (ADC12) price has remained restrained at RMB 20,200 per tonne, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have continued to stand at RMB 21,050 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne, as of December 15.
