Average alumina spot price in China slumps by RMB 24/t to stand at RMB 2,953/t; A00 aluminium ingot price soars up by RMB 380/t

On Tuesday, December 14, the average alumina spot price in China has recorded a continued decline of RMB 24 per tonne or by 0.80 percent to close at RMB 2,953 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

The average alumina price in Guizhou and Guangxi has slipped by RMB 15 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,010 per tonne and RMB 2,680 per tonne, as of December 14. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the average alumina prices moved down by RMB 150 per tonne to total in at RMB 3,000 per tonne and RMB 3,050 per tonne. In Shandong and Henan also prices slumped by RMB 25 per tonne to peg at RMB 3,050 per tonne and RMB 2,960 per tonne. In Shanxi the price declined by RMB 25 per tonne to total in at RMB 2,950 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has remained the same to stand in at RMB 365 per tonne.

According to SMM, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has surged by RMB 380 per tonne to close in at RMB 19,070 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 19,050 per tonne and RMB 19,090 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 40-0 per tonne, for the same day.

In Gongyi the average A00 alumina ingot price has escalated by RMB 320 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,160 per tonne. On the other hand, in provinces like Foshan and Hangzhou, the price has levelled up by RMB 360 per tonne to register at RMB 19,130 per tonne and RMB 19,075 per tonne. In Wuxi also the price has gone up by RMB 365 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,065 per tonne. In Chongqing the price has ascended by RMB 390 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,140 per tonne, as of December 14. The average alumina ingot price in Shenyang and Tianjin has climbed up by RMB 380 per tonne and RMB 360 per tonne. The average prices for the same stood at RMB 19,030 per tonne in Shenyang and RMB 19,050 per tonne in Tianjin, respectively. In Linyi the average price has gone up by RMB 310 per tonne to close in at RMB 19,130 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy price (ADC12) and (A380) has escalated by RMB 100 per tonne to close in at RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to range between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. The average price for (A380) is expected to stay between RMB 21,300 per tonne and RMB 21,500 per tonne.

According to SMM, the average aluminium alloy price (A356) has hiked by RMB 400 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,050 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to orbit between RMB 21,000 per tonne and RMB 21,100 per tonne.
