China’s alumina price lowers down to RMB2813/t; aluminium ingot spot price loses RMB20/t today, up 3.97% Q-o-Q

According to the Shanghai Metal Market, the aluminium spot price has lost RMB 20 per tonne, officially stopping at RMB 18,830 per tonne today, June 21. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,810 per tonne and RMB 18,850 per tonne.

SMM aluminium price on March 21 was RMB 18,110 per tonne, which indicates it has risen RMB 720 per tonne or 3.97 per cent Quarter-on-Quarter displaying a strong upward trend in three months.

The eight central provinces in China have all witnessed fluctuating prices today, with the aluminium price decreasing the highest in Gongyi by RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,610 per tonne. In Foshan, on the other hand, the aluminium spot price jumped RMB 80 per tonne, settling at RMB 18,830 per tonne. The aluminium spot price in Shenyang gained RMB 40 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,800 per tonne, while the aluminium price in Wuxi lowered down to RMB 18,820 per tonne, with RMB 30 per tonne loss.

The four left provinces all experienced RMB 20 per tonne plunge in aluminium prices, with Hangzhou and Chongqing recording RMB 18,830 per tonne each, whereas, in Tianjin, the aluminium spot price was RMB 18,780 per tonne, and in Linyi, it clocked at RMB 18,730 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has escalated by RMB 77 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,428 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price lets RMB 1 per tonne go, resting at RMB 2,813 per tonne, while the alumina price in Shanxi falls by RMB 5 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 2,795 per tonne.
