
Primary aluminium ingot price in China has shown restraint on Tuesday, April 20, amid muted input costs. According to the Shanghai Metals Market data, A00 aluminium ingot price is resting at RMB 18,120 per tonne, with average prices to continue to range between RMB 18,100 per tonne and RMB 18,140 per tonne. However, the premium price has gained RMB 10 per tonne and is likely to be traded at RMB 20-20 per tonne.

But despite the restraint in average primary aluminium ingot price, some of the major Chinese cities have witnessed growth or decline in prices. For instance, in Tianjin and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne, respectively, to come in at RMB 18,110 per tonne and RMB 18,050 per tonne.
On the other hand, Chongqing has seen a plunge of RMB 45 per tonne in primary aluminium ingot price to RMB 18,090 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Wuxi has dwindled by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to stand at RMB 17,990 per tonne and RMB 18,115 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan and Hangzhou, primary aluminium ingot price has dropped by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 18,180 per tonne and RMB 18,150 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang, however, the price has remained muted at RMB 18,115 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys prices have recorded no change even today, on April 20, found SMM. While aluminium alloys (ADC12) price is still standing at RMB 18,100 per tonne, the prices of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) are hovering at RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne.
